Cosmetic Treatments for You

A beautiful smile can make a huge difference in a person’s confidence and overall self-esteem. Fortunately, there are various cosmetic dental treatments available that can help people achieve the perfect smile they desire.

Invisalign

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that uses clear, removable aligners to straighten teeth. Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible, making them an excellent choice for people who don’t want the look of metal braces and brackets. One of the most convenient aspects of Invisalign aligners is that they are removable. This means that you can take them out to eat and brush your teeth.

The Invisalign treatment process begins with a consultation. During this consultation, your dentist will take impressions of your teeth. Each set of aligners will gradually shift your teeth into the desired position. Typically, you will wear each set for around two weeks before switching to the next one in the series.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic material that your dentist will bond to the front of the teeth to improve your smile. Dentists use porcelain veneers to correct a wide range of cosmetic issues, including chipped or cracked teeth, gaps between teeth, and teeth that are discolored or misshapen.

During your first visit, the dentist will prepare the teeth by removing a small amount of enamel from the front of each tooth. This creates space to bond the veneers to the teeth without making them look bulky or unnatural. The dentist will then take impressions of the teeth, which they will use to create the custom-made veneers. During the second visit, your dentist will bond the veneers to your teeth using a special adhesive.

Teeth Whitening

Professional teeth whitening is a treatment that can help remove stains and discoloration from the teeth, leaving them looking brighter and whiter. There are various teeth whitening options available, including in-office treatments and take-home kits.

In-office teeth whitening treatments typically involve the use of a special whitening gel. During your appointment, your dentist will apply this gel to your teeth and activate it with a special light or laser. In one appointment, your dentist can make your smile several shades whiter.

Take-home teeth whitening kits typically involve the use of custom-made trays. At home, you will fill these trays with a whitening gel and wear them as your dentist recommends. These treatments may take several weeks to achieve the desired results. However, they are a more convenient and affordable option for many patients.

Tooth Bonding

Tooth bonding is a cosmetic dental treatment that uses a tooth-colored resin material to improve the appearance of the teeth. Your dentist may use bonding to correct a wide range of cosmetic issues, including chips, cracks, gaps, and discoloration.

During your procedure, your dentist will apply a bonding agent to the surface of your tooth. Then, they will place the resin on your tooth to correct your cosmetic issue. Because of its flexible nature, your dentist can easily shape the resin in the desired shape. Finally, they will harden and polish the bonding to create a natural-looking and seamless result.
